Kale Seed
Dwarf Blue Curled Vates -- Kale
A compact growing kale with finely curled dark blue-green leaves. The flavor is improved by light frosts so it can be cultured like other members of the cabbage family.
Gulag Stars -- Kale
Breeding with Russian and Siberian kales from the original Gulag has given rise to the most incredibly colorful and beautifully diverse leaf types you could possibly imagine but have never seen. No sacrifice of eating quality. Adaptable, diverse, and ready to enter that "brave new world".

Kailaan -- Chinese Kale
Also called Chinese Broccoli and used extensively in Asian cooking. After the first harvest of the main stem the plants will grow side branches similar to how broccoli regenerates. Tolerates both warm and cool climates and can be grown all year in mild climates.
Winter Red -- Kale
A vigorous Red Russian kale that colors up well even before cold weather, but especially after
cool weather. The oak-leaf shaped leaves of this kale are more deeply cut than some other common strains of Red Russian kale. Excellent for salad greens when leaves are thumb size; larger leaves make delicious and nutritious cooked greens.

Kale Cultural Information
Direct seed Kale into the ground. If you want a continuous supply plant some seed
throughout the growing season to supply a continuous harvest of leaves.
Harvesting Kale
For a little extra flavor in a salad try picking the leaves in the baby leaf stage when the leaves are tender and small. They may also be left to mature and used in a traditional manner.
With our color blended Kales you can add color as well as taste.
