Sungold Casaba
A full-size casaba melon that ripens 3 - 4 weeks ahead of any other casaba we've seen! A high-yielding, high-quality melon bred for northern growers. Sungold vines are somewhat shorter than other casabas and can be spaced closer. The slightly wrinkled skin turns a golden yellow when mature. When fully ripe, the white flesh is tender with a mild sweet flavor. Like other casabas, it must be cut from the vine. Although bred for short growing seasons, the season must be relatively dry and fairly warm. (matures 95 days)
