Dark as midnight beans are a little smaller than common Pinto beans. A very fine soup bean. Note: if they are cooked with other beans they will color all the other beans very dark.

An early bush lima with buttery tasty beans that can be used as a shell bean or as a dried bean. Widely grown variety and a good choice for home gardeners. A good source of vitamins A, B and C.

Early Wonder Tall Top
One of the earliest beets. The beet tops make good cooked greens as the name implies. Can be planted every one to two weeks for a continuous harvest of fresh beets all summer long.
Cabbage
Golden Acre YR 
A fine, quick-maturing cabbage with resistance to fusarium or "yellows". The compact plants produce solid, 6 - 7", round heads. Good, mild, sweet flavor. (65 days)
Mammoth Red Rock 
Large, flattened, round heads form late in the season; and in mild winter areas, they will often last in the garden until spring. Deep purplish-red interiors. Space these large plants at least 2' apart in rows 3½ - 4' apart.
Savoy Perfection 
The leaves of this cabbage have the savoyed or "crinkled" look which adds contrast to the typical smooth leaf types.
Carrot
Cosmic Purple
Purple exterior with a lighter yellow interior. A relatively new carrot with a new look. Very Sweet roots measure 7 to 8 inches long.
Little Finger
Small finger length carrots with a rich orange color. Early and can be sown at weekly intervals throughout the season for a continuous harvest. The shorter length means they are also easier to harvest than full length carrots.
Cauliflower

An early maturing cauliflower with 6 inch heads that generally weigh about 1.5 to 2 pounds.

Endive
Green Curled Rufec
A deeply cut and frilly variety with plants 16 - 18 inches tall. Blend into a salad with lettuce and other greens.
Herbs
Basil, Cinnamon
The blooms are beautiful deep lavender - purple and the leaves have the characteristic cinnamon taste and aroma.
Basil, Lemon
A fresh lemony scent is what distinguishes this basil from the rest.
Caraway
Typically used in bread making like Thyme although it has an entirely different flavor. The seeds resemble dill.
Chervil
Has leaves that are milder than parsley and can be used in much the same way in salads or for a garnish.
Summer Savory
This herb can be used in small amounts to impart a peppery flavor.
Sweet Marjoram
Commonly grown as an annual although it is perennial. Protect from frost if you intend to grow as a perennial. Spicy and aromatic.
Thyme
Has been used for medicinal and culinary purposes. Useful for flavoring roasts, breads and other dishes. Best to use sparingly in cooking. In mild climates this can grow as an evergreen shrub.
Kale
Winter Red

A vigorous Red Russian kale that colors up well even before cold weather, but especially after cool weather. The oak-leaf shaped leaves of this kale are more deeply cut than some other common strains of Red Russian kale. Excellent for salad greens when leaves are thumb size; larger leaves make delicious and nutritious cooked greens.

Leek
American Flag
Has tender, white stems 8 - 10 inches long and the mild sweet onion flavor makes it excellent for enhancing soups and stews.

Cimmaron
A romaine lettuce with a deep red color that will add color to any salad mix. Slow to bolt.
Parris Island
Excellent for summer salads or munching with carrot sticks. The plants are upright with leaves up to 12 long. Has good bolting resistance.
Melon

Ananas
Oblong melons about 5 pounds with creamy white flesh that is juicy and sweet. The fruits have a very light netting. An heirloom that is popular in the Middle East.
Eden Gem
A netted muskmelon with delicious green flesh like a honeydew melon. Fruits average 2 - 3 lbs. Matures sooner than Ananas.
Honey Rock
A very pleasantly aromatic melon will keep you coming back for more with this melon. Fruits are round and about 6 inches in diameter with orange flesh.
Iroquois
Deeply ribbed, 4-5 lbs, slightly-oval cantaloupe. Deep-orange, fine-textured flesh of excellent flavor and sweetness. Early maturing and tolerant to fusarium.
Minnesota Midget
Very early with compact vines that bear 4" melons that is edible to the rind. Tolerant to fusarium and cool nights.
Casaba type
Sungold Casaba 
A full-size casaba melon that ripens 3 - 4 weeks ahead of any other casaba we've seen! A high-yielding, high-quality melon bred for northern growers. Sungold vines are somewhat shorter than other casabas and can be spaced closer. The slightly wrinkled skin turns a golden yellow when mature. When fully ripe, the white flesh is tender with a mild sweet flavor. Like other casabas, it must be cut from the vine. Although bred for short growing seasons, the season must be relatively dry and fairly warm. (matures 95 days)

Mustard (sweet types, not spicy)
Osaka Purple
Very similar in appearance to Red Giant Mustard with deep burgundy purple leaves, but with a mild flavor. A mustard from Japan than can be harvested in 40 - 45 days.
Parsnip

Very winter hardy with high quality 12 inch roots. Can be dug all winter long where the ground does not freeze. Delicious fried, creamed or added to mixed vegetable soup. Parsnips add a special savory touch to vegetable dishes that is hard to equal.

Dwarf Gray Sugar

A perennial that is very tolerant of dry soils. Has blooms with purple petals and brown centers.
Sunflower
Autumn Beauty
Bears numerous semi-double flowers in a mix of yellow to golden bronze to red to burgundy colored petals on plants 5 to 7 feet tall. Some of the flowers are bi-colored.
Dwarf Sunspot
Exactly as the name implies, this sunflower is low growing type only 1 - 2 feet tall. It has 10 inch blooms of yellow flowers for up to five weeks.
Indian Blanket
The colors are darker than Autumn Beauty. The flowers of this sunflower make a good color compliment to Indian corn as a decoration.
Lemon Queen
The opposite of Velvet Queen as this sunflower has very light soft lemon colored flowers surrounding a dark chocolate center. Ten inch heads on 5 - 6 foot plants. Good cut flower.
Velvet Queen
Very dark velvety crimson ten inch flowers on 5 - 8 foot tall plants. The distinctive foliage helps make this an excellent border. Also good as a cut flower.
Tomato
Cherokee Purple 
A fine flavored heirloom with 8 to 10 ounce fruits with a purplish or sometimes brownish appearance. Tolerates drought better than many other varieties.
