Autumn Beauty
Bears numerous semi-double flowers in a mix of yellow to golden bronze to red to burgundy colored petals on plants 5 to 7 feet tall. Some of the flowers are bi-colored.
Dwarf Sunspot
Exactly as the name implies, this sunflower is low growing type only 1 - 2 feet tall. It has 10 inch blooms of yellow flowers for up to five weeks.
Indian Blanket
The colors are darker than Autumn Beauty. The flowers of this sunflower make a good color compliment to Indian corn as a decoration.
Lemon Queen
The opposite of Velvet Queen as this sunflower has very light soft lemon colored flowers surrounding a dark chocolate center. Ten inch heads on 5 - 6 foot plants. Good cut flower.
Mammoth Gray Stripe
Grows to ten feet tall with heads that under good conditions can reach 24 inches.
Maximilian Sunflower
Helianthus maximiliani
A perennial relative of common sunflowers that reaches heights of 4 to 8 feet depending on growing conditions. Pollinating insects love the flowers and the birds eat the seeds in the fall. Does well in any relatively dry sunny location. Can be used to develop perennial sunflowers if planted next to cultivated varieties.
Velvet Queen
Very dark velvety crimson ten inch flowers on 5 - 8 foot tall plants. The distinctive foliage helps make this an excellent border. Also good as a cut flower.
